Thanksgiving Tradition

My extended family has some Thanksgiving traditions that I brought over the ocean with me and continue to enjoy with my surrogate family here. The JV South teams (Croatia and Slovenia) got together for our annual Thanksgiving Retreat and celebrated together for three days. Lots of good food and fun! I made my standard Trifle (layered dessert) of brownies, crunched up heath bars, whipped cream, and homemade chocolate pudding. Total success once again! Plus I continued the role my Grandma Webster bestowed upon me and did the table decorations. It was also the first time I tried my hand at stuffed eggplant and was pleasantly surprised at its contribution to the table. 

I am thankful for a wonderful family back home that has passed on to me a deep sense of family connection and tradition. I am also thankful for the ability to celebrate holidays that are dear to me even in another country and with people that have become close to my heart.
