Ikea

One of the realities of moving half way around the world is leaving stuff behind. Over the years, I had accumulated an apartment full of hand-me-downs, kitchen gadgets, and decorations. Those are now in the trusted hands of friends and family (or in a box in my parents garage). But now that I am preparing to move into my own place, I need those things again! Thankfully, people have hooked me up with a kitchen table and various kitchen things. But I still had to make a trip to Ikea just across the border in Austria! The drive was gorgeous and five hours after arriving, I had my stuff packed in the Jackson's van. Phew! I am super thankful that Ikea is close to me because things in Slovene stores are much more expensive. And now I am just waiting to move in to my place!

  1. That is so fun, Stephanie! :) I've been doing the same thing! Buying things from IKEA for my mini studio apt. :) It is exciting to shop for exactly what I want! I got a pretty little chandelier for my kitchen area...hehe.
Love you and hope you're having a great week!!
