Friday night was bowling night!
FUSION (the junior high group in Radovljica) meets every Friday night for activities, snacks and conversation. This week we decided to go bowling together and 9 kids showed up to knock down some pins. It was great to see them get excited about hitting a few and being surprised when more went down then they expected. Afterward, we headed to the old center of town for a treat and then played Sardines. It is getting cold here so I don't know if we will be playing games outside at night for much longer! Now that we have been meeting for a few weeks, it has been great to see students connecting and excited to be together. And even thought there is sometimes a language barrier, I have been able to get to know the kids more and even practice a little Slovene. Fun times to be had!
That sounds like such a good activity for the group. I'm glad it went well and you all had a good time. Hang in there with that Slovene...you'll keep on picking up more and more and soon you'll be fluent!! :)
